Brief

West london Student Trust exists to make their belief that 'nobody should be denied access to education' a reality, through providing financial support to students. Formed as part of Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College (EHWLC), the trust has since grown and offer services to a broader base of students. As services have grown for the trust, elements of visual identity had been applied at various stages in an adhoc manner. Forward looking, the trust required a repositioning of their brand.

Strategy

After a brand audit of current brand assets and existing materials, Tilt worked closely with WLST alongside students to define a new visual identity. Workshops provided some great immediate feedback around initial designs and allowed us to progress quickly. With location firmly bedded into the name, locality is important for the trust with regards to their service offering. The chosen direction and brandmark make reference to this directionally pointing west.

Outcome

Opening up the design process with workshops for input from current students not only gave us some great feedback but was a great way to get them talking about the service and to get some brand ambassadors on board. With a re-organised and re-energised visual identity, West London Student Trust have clear direction to move forwards.
